A custom-built digital game for Lauv — clean, emotive and fan-focused, designed to support discovery and deepen engagement.
Inspired by the success of Flappy Bird, record company AWAL challenged us to create an online game to increase fan engagement for American singer-songwriter and record producer Lauv. Using an avatar of Lauv’s dog Billy, we created ‘Billy Meets World’ a web-based multi-device game that rewarded fans with exclusive rewards as they played.
The game was produced in over 7 languages, including Korean, Chinese and Japanese, which was coordinated with Lauv’s tour across Asia. The game received critical acclaim, with over 100,000 plays worldwide, valuable data capture and a significant increase in streams of the single.
